This record is the agenda and minutes for the Queenstown Commissioners meeting on February 25, 2026. A special closed session was held from 5:00–5:30 p.m. to discuss the qualifications of candidates for a commissioner vacancy; the board voted (2–0) to appoint a candidate to serve the remainder of the term through November 2027. A public hearing was held on Ordinance 25-06 to amend the town zoning section on solar energy equipment to comply with the Brighter Tomorrow Act; no public comments were received and the commissioners agreed to table final action on the ordinance until the March 11 meeting to review state legislation. Other updates: public works is testing alternate membrane options and received a chemical to improve membrane performance; the Water Tank & Infrastructure project scope was finalized for USDA review; the I&I project and federal channel dredging (awaiting USACE permit) remain active; Town funds reported were General $181,665.13, W/S $22,064.51, and ARPA $394,449.19; town alarm and elevator repairs were noted and several policy items (ADUs, long-term rentals, investment policy, rate study, zoning bulk/table changes) will be scheduled for further work sessions.
