The Queenstown Commissioners met on August 13, 2025 with President Al Hardee, Commissioners Tom Willis and Bryon Callahan, Town Manager Amy Moore, Town Clerk Aaron Horney, and Town Attorney Lyndsey Ryan. QAC Lieutenant Troy Lowery reported the Sheriff’s Department will enforce parking at the town boat landing with $30 citations and will explore additional patrols; code enforcement will rely on the Sheriff’s office to issue citations. Public Works recommended purchasing new treatment membranes from Mann‑Hummel (motion passed 3‑0) and Ryan will draft a letter to Mann‑Hummel; staff also cleaned a dumpster thought to be the source of a plant odor. Planning staff are preparing zoning amendments to comply with Maryland’s ADU requirement (SB591 effective Oct 1, 2025) and the Brighter Tomorrow Solar Act; Bayland submitted an MDE Water Quality Certification request (Aug 6) for Federal Channel dredging. Finance reported FY2025 audit work has begun and funds on hand were listed (General $83,884.89; W/S $48,461.57; ARPA $592,135.52); other updates included a reported attempted break‑in, a donated picnic table, fireworks permit for Sept 12, ongoing water infrastructure work (Rauch drafting scope), Queenstown Harbor meter inspection planned, Wheatland’s project on hold, and Ordinance 25‑05 (purchase of 16,874 sq ft at 6915 Main Street) noted as eligible for adoption.
