This is a May 20, 2025 Queenstown Commissioners work session about additional funding options for the water tank and infrastructure project. Staff reported that the WWTP membranes are in poor condition and likely need replacement, and the operator expressed concerns about adding more users to the system. Attorney Lyndsey Ryan reported an estimated project cost increase of $1,908,642.81 and that about 11 contractors attended the pre-bid meeting; bids are due June 13. Commissioners discussed three funding scenarios (town builds with developer step-in, developer builds its own infrastructure, or town proceeds and developer covers the funding gap) and tentatively favored option 3 pending hard bid numbers; they also briefly discussed possibly increasing allocation fees. Ms. Ryan will inform the developer of the tentative plan; the meeting adjourned at 2:59 p.m. with a 3–0 vote.
