Town Commissioners — 2024-07-10

The Queenstown Commissioners met July 10, 2024 (President Al Hardee; Commissioners Tom Willis and Bryon Callahan; Town Manager Amy Moore; Town Attorney Lyndsey Ryan; Town Clerk Aaron Horney). A smoke test of the sewer system found mostly broken clean-out caps, some broken laterals (including near recent Comcast work), and missing manhole bowls; the Town will contact affected property owners and Comcast and plans repairs for a sidewalk at 100 Wick Ct with contractor estimates of $1,250–$3,150 (commissioners favor the $1,250 low bid but will wait to hear from Comcast). Financials were reported (General Fund $37,167.17; W/S Fund $2,276.56; ARPA $642,595.97) and four sets of minutes were approved unanimously. The Commission approved JC Warner to replace the town office second-floor A/C for $9,798, decided to install temporary electric service for two concerts rather than buy permanent park power now (R&D Electric estimate $5,445), and adopted Resolution 24-100 to add a Performance Evaluation section to the Personnel Manual. Infrastructure updates included pending I&I decisions after TVing, membrane-clean work delayed while missing adapter plates are searched for or replaced (replacement cost $762), lead service line inventory funding on hold pending legal review, and agreement to proceed with Federal Channel dredging engineering/permit work despite updated higher estimates. Events noted: Summer Concert July 20 and Community Yard Sale September 14; development items (Wheatland’s, Lacrosse Homes property discussion) and other policy items remain pending.
