This is the Queenstown Commissioners meeting and public hearing held June 21, 2023. The public hearing covered Ordinance 23-03, the proposed FY2023–24 general budget which establishes a constant yield tax rate of $0.2312 per $100 of assessed real property, tax rates of $0.58 per $100 for commercial/business personal property and $2.00 per $100 for public utilities, and an enterprise budget for water and sewer that includes an 8% increase to monthly water and sewer consumption rates; no public comments were received and the hearing was closed. During the regular meeting the board reviewed multiple department updates: the Consumer Confidence Report completion, a letter to Mann & Hummel about membrane cleaning, scheduled hydrant flushing, and a pending speed bump adjustment on Steamboat Ave.; the Planning Commission filed a concept plan for a par‑3 golf hole; the Safety & Speeding Task Force ordered speed‑awareness radar signs and noted SHA will add road markings and had installed new 15 mph signs. Financials were reported (General Fund $226,771.55; Water/Sewer Fund $30,102.01; ARPA Fund $685,773.96), minutes for May 24 and May 30 were approved, playground work was slated to begin around June 28, the town withdrew the MDE permit for the elevated tank to refile plans for a ground tank and relocated lines, Wall Street water line work is awaiting a contractor start date, town dock bid documents were revised and readied for advertisement with bid due dates to be moved to July, and Resolution 23-101 to raise the late fee for delinquent water/sewer accounts from $5 to $10 was introduced and moved.
