This record is the June 6, 2023 Queenstown Commissioners meeting. Commissioners approved purchase of speed bumps (accepted Robert & Son quote of $2,100; they noted only four are needed and asked staff to seek a lower price), accepted Chemline Plastics’ $8,905.50 quote for actuators/stem extensions for membrane automation, and approved Bayland Consultants’ low bid of $34,500 to study federal channel dredging. They approved amendments to the Owner–Engineer agreement for the new water tower contingent on USDA concurrence and funding, and noted Wall Street water line replacement work will begin within a week with affected residents notified; town dock electric repair estimated at $1,925 pending review for inclusion in grant work. Financial balances were reported (General Fund $258,571.43; Water/Sewer $555,714.57; ARPA $685,773.96), SHA will upgrade crosswalk markings in town center, sheriff patrols over three days produced 5 citations and 3 warnings, and a Concert in the Park is scheduled for August 12 (Randal Butler Duo). The meeting also introduced Ordinance No. 23-03 to adopt the FY 2023–24 general and water/sewer budgets, set tax rates (residential $0.2312 per $100; commercial $0.58 per $100; public utilities $2.00 per $100) and propose an 8% increase to monthly water and sewer consumption rates.
