This record is the Queenstown Commissioners meeting of August 24, 2022, which began with a 5:00 PM work session and a 6:00 PM regular meeting. In the work session Town Engineer Bob Rauch and James Cook reviewed a phased water service analysis for development projects (including Wheatlands); Rauch recommended allowing Wheatlands to connect via the Outlet Center water/sewer infrastructure with the Town assuming ownership of current private Outlet Center lines and establishing easements, and stated there is sufficient treatment-plant capacity and infrastructure to support Phase 1; Rauch will submit an official written recommendation. During the regular meeting staff reported public-works items (compactor parts ordered; First Ave water main leak repaired; Susquehanna to provide monthly plant operations reports), the Planning Commission’s proposed barbershop zoning definition was tabled for further review, the Activities Committee is recruiting members, and the minutes of August 9 were approved. The Treasurer reported fund balances (General Fund $152.980.29; Water-Sewer Fund 5126.575.95; APRA Fund $657,811.51), the manager updated on a developer inquiry by Peter Dudley (sewer options discussed including WWTP expansion or private WWTP with possible Town takeover) and plans to put the water tower project out to bid, staff are gathering ideas to apply for T-Mobile Hometown Grants, and a pre-bid meeting for dock/dredging work had low attendance with bids due that day. The meeting adjourned at 6:35 PM with no public comments recorded.
