The Queenstown Commissioners met June 7, 2022 (called to order at 5:02 PM; Commissioner Hardee absent). They approved purchasing a replacement Aerzen blower for $4,117.65 pending a reasonable warranty and no extra shipping charges, and agreed to include plant operator George Smith in future project communications. The meeting recorded resident concern about ditch work behind the Town Office (Commissioners suggested the resident obtain a property survey), reviewed three quotes for park basketball court paving and a Charity Lane swale (Robert & Son 57,725, Accurate Asphalt $7,950, Pave Master $12,300), and directed the Town Manager to designate specific grass-cutting areas for employees. The Planning Commission approved the preliminary Wheatland’s subdivision plan and requested a meeting with Commissioners about the Wheatland’s DRRA; the harbormaster discussion favored allowing slip-number reassignment to fit new lessees. Treasurer balances were reported (General $143,718.75; Water/Sewer $150,008.48; ARPA $315,041.38), May 10 minutes were approved, Town Attorney noted ARPA restrictions still apply though many projects should qualify, and Ordinance 22-06 (an 8% per year water/sewer consumption rate increase for five years beginning July 1, 2022) was introduced and approved for introduction by a 2-0 vote with a public hearing to be scheduled.
