The Queenstown Town Commissioners met April 12, 2022. Major actions included approving a quote to rebuild the Arezen blower at the wastewater plant for $4,116.64, hiring Andrea Ringgold as Office Clerk Assistant, and accepting an agreement with Vertical Consultants related to recent AT&T rent increases. Staff reported new membranes to be installed at the plant April 15–16, water in the plant diesel tank to be addressed by Rausch Fuel (which recommended a $1,140 containment device), and a recent I&I repair that reduced inflow by 60,000 gallons. Planning approved relocating the LDA boundary on the golf course (with no increase in area) and granted preliminary site plan approval with reduced parking for Kevin Dey’s office/storage bays; marine updates included waiting on Big Island Ventures for boat ramp work and a $2.5 million estimate for federal channel dredging with a letter sent to Senator Ben Cardin. The meeting closed with a voted closed session to obtain legal advice at 4:59 pm.
