The Queenstown Commissioners met on February 23, 2022 and covered public works, finance, infrastructure, marine projects, policy, development, and new business. Key actions: they authorized $1,793 for repair of 12 sunken sidewalk sections on Olde Point Lane/Comegys Lane; accepted two Miracle Playground repair proposals for $4,870 (swings/rubber surfacing) and $15,318.36 (existing equipment repairs); and approved purchase of a John Deere 60"-deck lawnmower for $8,950 after trade-in. Staff reported a failing membrane train at the wastewater treatment plant and notified manufacturer Microdyne while the town attorney will check warranty coverage; Suez will schedule a washout of the outlet water tower. Other updates: Treasurer balances were reported (General $81,811.43, W‑S $232,658.91, ARPA $342,445.21), one bid of $243,000 for Town Dock construction is under compliance review, USDA has requested additional documents for the new water tower project, and discussion on boat ramp parking permits will continue. The Commissioners also noted continuing speeding complaints on Main Street and plan to request increased Sheriff enforcement.
