The Queenstown Commissioners met Feb 8, 2022 and discussed public works, planning, finance, marine projects, development, and telecom proposals. Public Works reported an infrared inspection at the wastewater treatment plant that identified loose electrical connections (Lywood Electric recommended retorquing), replacement of a frozen lever transducer that caused a false high‑level alarm, spares being ordered, a membrane recovery cleaning scheduled for Feb. 21, and updated sidewalk repair quotes. The Treasurer/Finance report listed account balances (General - 5114,216.69; Water‑Sewer - $248,169.68; ARPA - $342,474.29) and the Jan. 26 minutes were approved; February planning meeting was canceled due to a faulty Zoom link. Infrastructure items: I&I grant application submitted and RFP work underway for Old Wharf Lane, New Water Tower plans ready for MDE/USDA review, Wall St. water tower and water line work advancing, and control room framing ongoing. Marine items: dredging scheduled Feb. 9 with a verification survey on Feb. 10, pre‑bid for dock construction held with bids due Feb. 22, and discussion of pilings and razor clam shell debris; commissioners decided not to sell cell‑tower leases, discussed contacting Talkie Communications and Breezeline about service/franchise options, and will schedule meetings with Greenlee Group and Barry Waterman about concerns on the Wheatland’s impact study.
