Town Commissioners — 2021-11-09

This record is the Queenstown Town Commissioners meeting of November 9, 2021. In a 3:00 pm work session Town Engineer Robert Rauch reported on the Wall Street water tower (three service proposals received, Liquid Engineering was lowest cost and Rauch recommended keeping the tower; Rauch will contact USDA to request reallocating funds and schedule a dive inspection), prioritized sewer line replacements (Old Wharf, Del Rhodes, Melvin, Main with estimated in-road $1,578,053 vs out-of-road $1,866,981 and a recommendation to begin with Old Wharf; ARPA funding confirmed usable), an Old Wharf Lane stormwater conveyance/bioreactor concept to address drainage, and the WWTP control room (no bids; Rauch to redraw simplified wood-stud plans so the town can seek contractors or use a town employee). Following Rauch’s report a vote was recorded (document notes “VOTE:3ave-0nalt.”). At the 4:00 pm regular meeting the election results were certified (Christina Palmer 71 votes; Thomas Willis 122 votes; Willis sworn in), the commissioners discussed public works items (Lacrosse responsible for Thompson Ave ditch maintenance, expired Water Appropriation Permit being renewed, sidewalk and playground repairs, meter installations for three Harbor cottages approved), planning approvals (pole barn at 111 Charity, solar at 6740 Main), audit completion, AT&T work and lease-term negotiations for the Wall St. tower, and old-business items including interim financing ordinance sent to USDA, Wheatland’s project reviews, DRRA meeting scheduling, and boat ramp improvement bids (Big Island Ventures $28,750 recommended).
