The Queenstown Commissioners met September 22, 2021 (meeting called to order at 6:05 pm) to review public works issues, town projects, finances, and scheduling. Commissioners approved hiring Matt Grimm for the Town Office renovation (two bids were considered; one commissioner abstained), authorized Pavemaster to mill pavement at the O’Rourke address at no charge, and confirmed lead/copper water sampling of 10 homes to be collected Sept. 29. Public works reported one VFD at the WWTP is being replaced Sept. 23 and a pressure transducer was repaired; a Charity Lane speed bump was ordered for delivery around Sept. 23. The town set Halloween trick-or-treat hours for Oct. 31 from 6–8 pm and agreed to use a 14' cut tree for the town Christmas display. Ongoing projects discussed included the I&I project (Rauch scope pending), Water Tower & Infrastructure (interim financing on hold), boat ramp bid revisions and tidal wetlands permit, and town dock dredging (pre-bid meeting set for Sept. 28, bids due Oct. 8). The town clerk reported fund balances (General $85,994.32; Water/Sewer $149,739.67; ARPA $342,377.67) and a town hall meeting was scheduled for Oct. 13 at 6 pm.
