This is the Queenstown Town Commissioners regular meeting on September 7, 2021 at 4:00 PM. Guest Rosemarie O’Rourke raised a safety/parking concern after Second Ave paving; Commissioner Hardee moved to have a paving contractor inspect the area with Commissioners and Ms. O’Rourke. Public Works discussed a prefab speed bump for Charity Lane (to verify width and order), review of road width standards (ROW minimum 50 ft) and measuring Thompson Ave for potential parking restrictions, proposed water/sewer standards to return at the next meeting, removal of a hazardous tree at 113 Wick Ct, and a resident request (denied) for town-funded skunk trapping per existing policy. Planning reported Wheatland’s forest conservation plan submitted to Rauch for review, concerns about boat-trailer parking and a pole building at 116 Dudley to be inspected by MDIA; Finance reported account balances and approved August 25 minutes (Hardee abstained). Town Manager updates included pursuing a DNR Waterway Improvement discussion for dredging, declining a Towerpoint cell-lease purchase offer until the usual January solicitation, sheriff agreement to enforce Town parking violations, billing options for private slip water use, and boat ramp concrete panel orders with some shortfall.
