Town Commissioners — 2021-08-11

Joint work session of Queenstown Commissioners and Planning Commission on August 11, 2021 to discuss the Trails Master Plan (approved by the Planning Commission June 2) and consider adoption by the Commissioners. Planning Vice‑Chair Matt Reno reviewed the Plan’s purpose, noted strong resident support from a survey, and said grant funding would be sought to help maintain trails in addition to existing sidewalk/street upkeep. Commissioners said the Plan was well written but raised concerns that some wording could obligate the town to future spending or required trail construction; wording changes agreeable to all were made and Planner Peter Johnston said those edits do not change the Plan’s purpose. The revised Plan will be sent to Town Attorney Lyndsey Ryan for legal review and then introduced for adoption at the next Commissioners meeting so it can be forwarded to the County Comprehensive Plan; the meeting ran from 6:01 to 6:54 p.m.
