Town Commissioners — 2021-06-11

This is the Queenstown Commissioners special meeting held June 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. to review drafts of the FY2022 General Fund and Water & Sewer Fund budgets. Present were President Thomas B. Willis, Jr.; Commissioners Alton Hardee and Bryon Callahan; Finance Chair Patricia Bowell; Town Clerk Aaron Horney; and Town Manager/Clerk Amy Moore. The draft budgets use the State-established Constant Yield tax rate and show a 5% water and sewer rate increase (the final of three increases from ordinance 19-03). Commissioners approved a salary increase for employees per the State of Maryland Standard Salary Structure (motion by Commissioner Hardee, second by President Willis, unanimous 3-0), set a special meeting for June 15, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. to introduce ordinances to adopt the tax rate, water/sewer increase, and budgets, and scheduled a public hearing for June 30, 3021 at 6:00 p.m.; the meeting adjourned at 12:44 p.m.
