Town Commissioners — 2020-09-28

This special Queenstown Commissioners meeting on September 28, 2020 (held via Zoom) focused on land easement options for a proposed new water tower and related water infrastructure. Town Engineer Bob Rauch reviewed siting options: the original plan placed the tower on the Dudley property with force mains through SHA-owned Rt. 50 parcels, but SHA will not grant easements; alternatives include using the Friel property for mains or tower and the Wheatlands property for the tower. Commissioners emphasized an existing allocation commitment to the golf course and said they need a financial commitment from Barry Waterman before moving forward; Town Attorney Lyndsey Ryan will contact Waterman’s attorney Joe Stevens. President Willis’s motion to purchase the Dudley parcel failed for lack of a second. The Commission approved (3-0) having Steve Roberson’s electrician install slow-start mechanisms on the plant recycle pumps.
