The Queenstown Commissioners met remotely on August 26, 2020. A public hearing on Ordinance 20-03 (amending the town’s water and sewer capital allocation fees) was held with no public comment and adjourned at 5:56 PM (vote 3-0). During the regular meeting commissioners reviewed guest requests (multiple teams denied use of Queenstown Park due to parking/COVID concerns; one local team approved for limited practice with precautions), cancelled the October town yard sale, and received public works updates including membrane clean-in-place at the plant, pump/VFD and check-valve repairs, belt press maintenance, AC repair, and investigation into water-hammer mitigation. Planning updates covered support at the county hearing on Wheatland’s master water/sewer plan and marked parking at the boat landing; finance reported audits underway and the treasurer reported checking balances (General Fund $93,531.38; Water/Sewer $99,122.50). The stormwater pond flooding issue was addressed with a maintenance plan, and the commissioners adopted Resolution 20-104 (Town Manager job description) and Resolution 20-105 (Town Clerk/Treasurer job description) by 3-0 votes.
