The Queenstown Commissioners held a virtual special meeting on July 16, 2020 to review an application to Queen Anne’s County to amend the county Comprehensive Water and Sewerage Plan for the property known as Wheatlands from S-3/W-3 to S-2/W-2. The application (submitted by Waterman, shown in the minutes as both "Banf, Waterman" and "Barry Waterman") reports an average project demand of 66,750 gpd per updated calculations by Bob Rauch; the minutes state that existing water and sewer capacity is not available for the full demand but that system improvements could meet it. Commissioners discussed requiring Waterman to pay for I&I (inflow and infiltration) repairs to free up sewer capacity but made no decision; they voted 3-0 to send a letter of support finding the amendment consistent with the Queenstown Comprehensive Plan. The board also scheduled a public meeting for July 30, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. to address health, safety, welfare, and activity concerns at the boat ramp, and adjourned at 4:32 p.m.
