Town Commissioners — 2017-07-12

The July 12, 2017 Queenstown Commissioners meeting approved purchasing a hover mower for $819 and accepted Pave Master’s $44,500 bid to resurface Maryland Avenue and Steamboat Avenue (Rt. 18 to Maryland). Commissioners agreed to have the town attorney draft a short-term rental (Airbnb) ordinance for discussion at the August 9 meeting, and unanimously approved reducing Wickersham Construction’s WWTP retainer from $205,000 to $173,000; the lone RFP bid for water/wastewater operations is under engineer review. Treasurer balances were reported (General Fund $83,937.42; Water/Sewer $119,415.68; WWTP Project $4,907.12), the May 24 closed session minutes were accepted, and several public concerns were raised about retail property appearance, a donation bin at the old Getty site, missing speed limit signs on Steamboat, and the location change for the Bowlingly special exception Board of Appeals hearing. The meeting adjourned at 8:03 p.m.
