This record is the Queenstown Town Commissioners meeting of May 24, 2017. A public hearing was held on proposed Ordinance 17-03 to adopt the Town’s FY2017–18 general and water/sewer enterprise budgets and to set tax rates at 0.1773 per $100 for assessed real property and 0.44 per $100 for commercial/business personal property and public utilities; budget figures were presented (General expenditures $629,434; Enterprise expenditures $654,282) and there were no water/sewer rate increases. In regular business the Commissioners adopted Resolution 17-102 establishing a disconnection policy for delinquent water and sewer accounts (customers given until December 31, 2017 to become current), approved multiple sets of minutes, set a summer meeting schedule (June 14 at 4:00 pm, July 12 at 7:00 pm, August 9 at 7:00 pm), and received reports on the wastewater treatment plant, a Main Street water leak, completed software/hardware conversion work, GIS mapping of piping and meters, and personnel manual work. The Attorney provided a draft rental housing ordinance (Ordinance 17-05) which was tabled for further review; an open-comment item reported removal of a noose from private property and related neighborhood concerns; a closed session was held to consult with counsel.
