Town Commissioners — 2017-02-08

This is the February 8, 2017 regular meeting of the Queenstown Commissioners. The Commissioners recognized Volunteers of the Year Mrs. June Collier and Mrs. Diane Lewis, received construction and safety updates on the Wastewater Treatment Plant (concrete storage bins, sensor lighting ordered, trip hazards noted), and set a possible May dedication. Planning reported a public hearing on the revised Community Plan for April 13, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.; the Acting Town Manager reported operational items including a newsletter, Muni-Link water/sewer billing contract signed, ongoing staff changes (Shosh Callahan retiring March 1, 2017; new employee Aaron Horney in training), work on clouding documents and office Wi‑Fi, and a March 15 work session to discuss budget/personnel. The Attorney is updating the Town Personnel Manual, submitted the Growth Allocation application to the Critical Area Commission, and the meeting held a closed session from 4:43–5:12 p.m. for legal advice on a real estate matter; following that session the Commissioners appointed Acting Town Manager Mike Bowell as the Town’s Property Maintenance Code enforcer. The Treasurer reported fund balances (General $280,716.76; Water/Sewer $113,813.06; WWTP Project $3,031.57), and several past meeting minutes were approved.
