Planning Commission — 2025-04-02

This is the April 2, 2025 minutes of the Queenstown Planning Commission. Jeff Barba (Richmond American Homes) presented the Wheatlands development: Phase 1 includes five commercial parcels, townhouses and single-family homes with two entrances and a pump station; he said Phase 1 would include 109 residential units (about 55% of the total) and Phase 2 would include 89 units. The commission approved (4-aye, 0-nay) conditional easement relief for lots 20 and 48 pending a public works agreement and raised no objection to placement of townhouses TH 73–78 on the plat; design guideline items (parged foundations) were noted with no objection. Town Manager updates included a public hearing on the critical hearing ordinance on April 23, an MDOT memo on advanced air mobility (to coordinate with the county), plans to purchase part of a Main Street property (with the remaining lot/structure also for sale), evaluation of road standards, and a request by Sue Donaldson to be considered for the commission (she was asked to attend the next meeting). The Corridor Management Plan is on hold, there was no update on the Nicholson/Clark subdivision tentative sketch, the March 5 minutes were approved, and Phil Snyder was recognized as 2024 Volunteer of the Year; the meeting opened at 6:01 pm and adjourned at 6:52 pm.
