The Queenstown Planning Commission met January 8, 2025 (called to order at 6:03 p.m., adjourned 6:25 p.m.) with Acting Chairman Matt Reno in person and members Geneva Thrasher-Rieu, Paul Cain, Mike Bowell and Town Planner Peter Johnston on Zoom. There were no guests, no public comment, and no Town Manager update. For old business the Commission had no update on the Corridor Management Plan and voted to recommend amendments related to the Housing Expansion and Affordability Act (HB 538) and Critical Area amendments (HB 233 & HB 58268) to the Town Commissioners for review and adoption (motion Mike Bowell, second Paul Cain; no opposition). For new business the Commission recommended the QA County Comprehensive Water/Sewer Plan be updated to revise dates, include Wheatlands and the Golf course, and correct typographical errors (motion Mike Bowell, second Paul Cain; no opposition), and approved the November 6, 2024 minutes (motion Paul Cain, second Mike Bowell). Members also raised non-action items: concerns about side roads and uncleared sidewalks after a snowstorm, a recommendation that the Town issue a proclamation for Phil Snyder, and questions about recruiting to fill vacancies—Matt Reno will follow up with Amy Moore on each item.
