The Queenstown Planning Commission met November 6, 2024 (6:00–6:40 p.m.). Matt Reno was appointed acting Chair and Geneva Thrasher-Rieu acting Vice-Chair after the chairman’s resignation. The Commission granted preliminary site-plan approval for Queenstown Harbor’s proposed events building and lodge (including a reconfigured parking lot, 22-foot lane, stormwater infiltration, and planted impervious-cover buffers), with final approval contingent on consultant engineer and Critical Area issues being addressed. Town Manager updates included Board of Appeals approval of a cannabis growth special exception, exploration of purchasing the Getty building, approval of a contract to replace the sewer lane on Old Wharf Lane using ARPA and reserve funds, pending trash-bin deliveries, and a December 7 tree-lighting event; meeting and holiday schedules were also noted. On old business the Corridor Management Plan had no update and HB 538 is pending related bills; on new business the Commission raised no objection to the administrative subdivision line removal for Daisy H. Miller, discussed tightening plan review/presentation requirements, approved the October 2 minutes, and adjourned at 6:40 p.m.
