This record is the Queenstown Planning Commission meeting on September 4, 2024, called to order at 6:00 p.m.; members Matt Reno (Vice‑Chair), Paul Cain, Geneva Thrasher‑Rieu, and Mike Bowell attended in person, Peter Johnston attended via Zoom, and Town Manager Amy Moore was present. There were no guests or public comments. The Town Manager update covered: Mike Bowell’s reappointment and Phil Snyder’s term status, draft indoor‑only cannabis growth regulations with Commissioners requesting a tour of the Centreville dispensary, meetings with Lacrosse Homes (Lindsay/Lyndsey Dixon) about a greenhouse on Main Street and possible town buyback of a lot, consideration of a Melvin Ave lot purchase, work with QA Co on updating a “haznd mediation plan,” and no word from the owner of the old gas station. Old business noted the Queenstown Corridor Management Plan is on a holding pattern and summarized HB 538 (Housing Expansion and Affordability Act) provisions as recorded about manufactured homes (where allowed, foundation requirement, landowner ownership, applicable local standards, HUD certification as substitute for safety standards, and qualified nonprofit projects). New business: the August 7, 2024 minutes were approved (motion by Paul Cain, second by Mike Bowell) and the meeting adjourned at 6:42 p.m.
