The Queenstown Planning Commission met June 5, 2024 (7:00–7:29 p.m.) and handled several routine approvals and updates. Commissioners authorized issuance of a zoning certificate for the Lady Helen skipjack operation (up to 6 passengers, limited daily trips, 2.5-hour and sunset cruises) to be signed by the town manager, approved a solar permit for 7120 Main Street (Hagerstrom), and approved the May 1, 2024 minutes. Updates included that Wheatland’s DRRA water/sewer funding from USDA should be obligated within a week, discussion of Ordinance 24-03 restricting commercial vehicle parking to two hours, and a June 12 budget hearing with no property tax increase (the town’s water/sewer rates reflect an 8% increase adopted in June 2022). Commissioners voted to move future meetings to 6:00 p.m. starting in July (the July meeting will be adjourned for the holiday), and instructed staff to add meeting attendance requirements to the member roles/bylaws for return to the August meeting; the 2023 annual report was submitted with no objection.
