Planning Commission — 2023-09-06

The Queenstown Planning Commission met Sept. 6, 2023 (7:00–7:20 p.m.) with five members in person and two virtual. The Town Manager gave multiple updates: county notified that county zoning is no longer effective on the Dudley property (the town zoning remains unchanged and a zoning amendment is needed), discussion of an annexation agreement/plan for that property, hiring of new public works staff, submission of three parks grant applications, getting estimates for a small pier at the boat landing and plumbing bids after planned dock upgrades, paving Wall Street, installation of automated membrane cleaning at the plant, a new Comcast agreement to begin soon, and an engineering study for channel dredging with additional funding applications and county support for federal funding. The Town Attorney recommended reviewing the cannabis ordinance, and a review of addresses for licensed childcare buffer zones was noted. Old business items (Wheatland’s / Waterman Family Limited Partnership DRRA work and the Queenstown Corridor Management Plan) had no new action reported. The commission approved minutes for June 7 and August 2, 2023 (motions passed with no opposition) and adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
