The Queenstown Planning Commission met on August 2, 2023. The Commission approved a concept plan for a proposed par‑3 golf hole addition at Queenstown Harbor Golf, finding it consistent with the Queenstown Critical Area Program and authorizing staff to issue a zoning certificate once final plans are submitted and habitat protection requirements for the Heron Rookery are satisfied. Town Manager updates included a review of the new cannabis law and a request to evaluate local ordinances on cannabis sales, safety/speeding task force proposals (clock peninsula renovations, seating and shade, boardwalk benches), forthcoming pedestrian safety treatments and speed feedback signs on state roads, and that Phase I of a federal dredging project is about to begin. Old business items included Wheatlands and the Queenstown Corridor Management Plan; new business actions included tabling minutes from June 7 and noting the Dey property (Lacrosse) is back on the market. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. and adjourned at 7:29 p.m.
