The Queenstown Planning Commission met April 5, 2023, with commissioners and staff attending in person and virtually. Guest Cory Walters asked about permitted building options for 646 Del Rhodes Ave, specifically whether a 2,400 sq ft pole barn would be a principal or accessory building. Town Manager updates covered pursuing a Resiliency Through Restoration grant and County-filed federal funding for a channel dredging study (three candidate spoils locations, Golf Course and Blakeford approved study), traffic/speeding concerns to be discussed with SHA engineers, dock resurfacing options, and FY24 budget items. Old business noted Royal Farms is no longer participating in Wheatland’s phase I due to sewer line costs and steps to integrate the MD Bike/Pedestrian 2050 plan into the Corridor Management Plan; new business approved March minutes, discussed making the zoning application/approval process clearer (checklists/forms), and reviewed permits at 7004 Main St., 6750 Main St., and an item at 101 Davidson Ave regarding a fence versus a locking pool cover. The meeting adjourned at 8:04 p.m.
