Planning Commission — 2022-10-05

The Queenstown Planning Commission met Oct. 5, 2022 (members present: Mike Bowell, Matt Reno, Amy Moore, Geneva Rieu, Peter Johnston); Geneva Rieu was sworn in, the meeting was called to order at 7:01 p.m., and there was no public comment. Town Manager updates included a Dudley property meeting on 10/12, a Notice of Award for dock work, a water tower project out to bid (bid due Nov. 10) with a six-month USDA waiver, an MDE/County plan conflict requiring a county amendment in Jan. 2023, a golf course LDA documentation need, a pending request to add a 5th apartment on Maryland Ave, a community yard sale on 10/8, and a note that Friday was the last day to file for commissioners’ election (minutes record “election lllT”). In old business the commission discussed parking proposals for 7109 Main St. (requested guest Tiffani Boone provide scope), Wheatland’s infrastructure and a possible public works agreement for phase I (Barry has a highway commercial lot under contract; Ms. Moore to schedule a joint meeting with Commissioners and Town Engineer Bob Rauch to review water/sewer capacity), a revised commercial parking draft to be sent to Commissioners, members to research road design standards, and revisions needed for the Corridor Management Plan (landscaping/signage and overlay zoning recommendations). New business: the solar permit for 227 Olde Point Lane was approved (motion by Geneva Rieu), the August minutes were approved, and the meeting adjourned at 8:14 p.m.
