Planning Commission — 2022-07-06

This is the July 6, 2022 meeting minutes of the Queenstown Planning Commission. Visitor Oliver Bennan (107 Old Wharf Lane) requested removing the prohibition on barber shops so he can convert a backyard building into an appointment-only barber shop (one customer at a time, 9–15 clients per day, 4–5 days per week) and Planner Peter Johnston will draft a zoning amendment to allow barbers as a Type 2 home occupation in the R-1 zone. Town Manager updates noted a Golf Course critical area amendment requires a new growth allocation proposal and a site visit will be scheduled; Wheatland’s (Waterman family) is awaiting a revised DRRA; boat landing Phase 1 is complete with Phase 2 (floating dock) awaiting estimates; commercial/oversized vehicle parking will be placed on the next agenda; Critical Area Commission updates are on hold; Landscape Guidelines will be resent for the August meeting; and the Queenstown Corridor Management Plan discussion will involve the Urban Renewal Authority and review of standards for affected landowners. New business included the Fire Department noting 3 acres on the Dudley property with subdivision/site plan forthcoming. The minutes were approved and the meeting adjourned at 8:16 p.m.
