The Planning Commission met June 1, 2022 (called to order at 7:00 pm, adjourned 8:41 pm) with Chairman Phil Snyder and five commissioners present plus the Town Manager and Town Planner. Guest Bob Zillig (QAC BPAC) presented connectivity and safety recommendations for bike/pedestrian routes; Kevin Shearan sought and received preliminary subdivision/plat approval for Wheatland’s (motion by Matt Reno, seconded by Mike Bowell, no opposition). Public commenters (Joe and Kay Kelkowski; Bill Lehew) raised concerns about the Kevin Dey property including tree removal, flooding, privacy, and noise buffering. Town Manager updates included Lacrosse Homes parking relief options (possible “tot lot” and fence), code ordinance updates to 2021 standards, and no new update on the town dock; the town did not receive the Community Parks & Playground Program grant for FY2023. Old business items noted progress on Wheatland’s (Commissioners working on a DRRA and the Planning Commission was asked to weigh in), a ribbon-cutting and possible small floating dock for boat landing/parking improvements, and that Peter Johnston will draft a Corridor Plan outline; minutes for April 6 and May 4 were approved with no opposition.
