This is the agenda and minutes for the Queenstown Planning Commission meeting held January 5, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. The commission re-elected Phil Snyder as Chair, retained Matt Reno as Vice-Chair, and appointed Geneva Rieu as Secretary. Town Manager updates included a Critical Area Commission meeting on January 15 to adopt an ordinance, dredging of slips beginning the week of January 17, exploration of solar for the wastewater plant, adoption of fence standards at the December meeting, an office move for Amy, and a forthcoming front-office clerk posting. In old business the commission approved a variance for Wheatland’s / Waterman Family Limited Partnership (motion passed with no opposition) and directed Peter to notify DNR; boat landing/parking improvements and the FY2023 parks/playground grant were discussed with the latter deferred until spring; fence standards were removed from the agenda. New business items included consideration of water tower branding (commission willing to help involve the community), discussion of complaints about commercial/oversized vehicle parking under the current 12-hour rule and a request for suggested ordinance revisions, and approval of the December 1, 2021 minutes; the meeting adjourned at 7:46 p.m.
