Planning Commission — 2021-09-01

The Queenstown Planning Commission met September 1, 2021 (meeting called to order at 7:24 p.m. after technical difficulties) with six commissioners present and no guests or public comment. Town Manager updates included Matt Reno’s reappointment, a test well for the water tower to be completed in early September, American Rescue Plan funds listed as 5684,755.34 with more expected in 2022 and a plan to target stormwater projects and top I&I spots, and channel-dredging surveys by the Army Corps/DNR with grant-seeking for engineering. On old business, the Trails Master Plan final draft had been adopted previously; the Wheatland’s (Waterman Family Limited Partnership) Forest Conservation plan is ready and will be reviewed at the state forestry level; boat landing/parking permit is being held while ramp arrangements and pier repair options are reconsidered; fence standard amendments will be reviewed and voted at the next meeting; Community Parks & Playground FY2023 phase 1 was submitted and MDOT trails grant will be applied for; and the Boat and Trailer parking standards (8-17-21 draft) were approved by the commission. New business addressed parking and speeding complaints on Thompson Avenue with a request to notify the HOA/Lacrosse Homes about enforcement, minutes from August 4 were approved, a question was raised about a taller building on Dudley and an inspector will check its height, and a records request was made about boat slip leases; the meeting adjourned at 8:11 p.m.
