Planning Commission — 2021-07-07

The July 7, 2021 Queenstown Planning Commission meeting (no guests or public comment) reviewed town updates and several planning items. Town Commissioners approved building a new 250,000-gallon water tower; staff reported enforcement letters about boats parked in front yards and discussed related parking rules; Barry Waterman is moving forward with an impact study after a capacity report did not require a treatment-plant upgrade. The Commission left the Trails Master Plan pending review, noted a zoning ordinance and Critical Area amendments hearing set for 7/28, and confirmed the Sorenson site and water quality management project at 112 Charity Lane passed final inspection. For boat landing and parking improvements the Commission chose smaller concrete panels (materials to be purchased from Gillespie), directed the dock project to go out to bid with filling behind the bulkhead and dredging ahead of pier work (re-decking/resurfacing slated for fall 2021 and boats will need to be removed from the dock). The Commission provided guidance on fence material standards, agreed to revisit a Community Parks and Playground grant proposal (FY2023, due Aug 26), approved a solar permit for Angela Shortall at 7200 Main St., and approved the June 2, 2021 minutes.
