These are the minutes of the Queenstown Planning Commission meeting on June 2, 2021. The Commission held public hearings on housekeeping Zoning Ordinance amendments (specifying Development Standards in the QRD and Non‑Residential Use Standards in the CS) and on Critical Area Program six‑year review amendments; there were no public comments and the Commission voted to close the hearings and submit the amendments to the Town Commissioners for public hearing and possible adoption. Town Manager updates included a DNR application for creek speed limit and channel dredging and summer monitoring, appointment of Harold Veasel as part‑time Code Enforcement Officer, creation of a harbor master position with Matt Reno appointed, a 1st/2nd Ave dredging proposal and related pier permit decisions, and MDE clearance for a test well and land purchase for a new water tower. On old business the Commission voted to submit the Trails Master Plan final draft to the Commissioners, continued work on Zoning/Critical Area amendments, discussed Wheatland’s water/sewer capacity, planned a site visit for the Sorenson Site and Water Quality Management Plan (112 Charity Lane), awaited final permit for boat landing/parking improvements (27 permits issued), and discussed drafting material standards for fences with amendments to be circulated. New business items included preparing to reapply for Community Parks and Playground Program grant funding for FY2023 (FY2022 application was denied), approval of the May 5, 2021 minutes, and adjournment at 7:49 p.m.
