These are the minutes of the Queenstown Planning Commission meeting on May 5, 2021. Commissioners (Geneva Rieu, Peter Johnston, Amy Moore, Paul Cain, Mike Bowell, Phil Snyder) had no guests or public comment, and approved returning to two meetings per month starting May 11, 2021. Motions passed to submit the final draft Trails Master Plan pending grammatical suggestions (motion by Mike Bowell, seconded by Paul Cain) and to advance Zoning Ordinance and Critical Area amendments with a required public hearing (motion by Mike Bowell, seconded by Paul Cain); both motions carried with no opposition. Other items: a fee impact study was requested for Wheatland’s (Waterman Family Limited Partnership) with no development movement; Sorenson’s Site and Water Quality Management Plan for 112 Charity Lane had no follow up; boat landing and parking improvements are awaiting state construction permits, there is currently no limit on number of permits, and additional signage was added; the Community Parks and Playground grant application was not approved. New business included starting code amendments to set fence material standards for review at the next meeting, and commissioners expressed dissatisfaction with MDIA building inspections while noting Harold Veasel was approached about part-time town code enforcement; the April 7 minutes were accepted with a correction and the meeting adjourned at 7:39 p.m.
