The Queenstown Planning Commission met remotely on March 3, 2021. Town Manager updates included distribution of the Annual Report (no objection to submitting it to the Commissioners and Maryland planning), a March 24 public hearing on the Wheatlands development, boat landing revisions with a proposed harbor master position and use of milling from 2nd Ave to fill the boat landing parking lot, and a request for state signage to discourage tractor-trailer “jake braking.” The Commission granted preliminary approval to Queenstown Harbor Golf Links to amend its master development plans with the Chair authorized to give final approval after staff and engineer review, and commissioners voted unanimously to close the boat ramp to non-residents. Old business notes: Trails Master Plan amendments are in progress, the community parks grant is awaiting a response, Sorenson site work is expected May/June, and the John Coursey item will be removed; new business included approving a zoning permit for solar panels at 7010 Second Ave. Meeting minutes from February 10 and December 16 were approved and the meeting adjourned at 7:57 p.m.
