The Queenstown Planning Commission met remotely on January 13, 2021. The meeting opened with a public hearing on Resolution 20-108, which would recommend Planned Development Master Plan approval for the Wheatlands project submitted by the Waterman Family Limited Partnership and approve its conceptual site plan and architectural/design guidelines. Presenters included attorney Joe Stephens and principal Barry Waterman, and Town Planner Peter Johnson discussed guideline consistency with town zoning; Wye Riverkeeper Elle Bassett submitted written comment and spoke requesting consideration of enviro-pavers for townhouse driveways/rear parking and slowing traffic at the Route 18 entrance. The board voted to move the next Planning Board meeting to February 10, 2021 and keep the public comment record open until 5:00 pm on February 5, 2021; the public hearing was closed at 7:42 pm. Separately, the town manager reported three letters of interest for the planning board vacancy and will schedule individual interviews (special meeting Jan 20, 2021), and revised design guidelines were forwarded to the Town Planner for further review.
