Planning Commission — 2020-12-16

This special Planning Commission meeting (held remotely via Zoom on December 16, 2020) reviewed proposed design guidelines for development of the Wheatlands property and scheduled the required public hearing. The Commission voted to hold the public hearing on the Master Development Plan and Design Guidelines on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 7:00 p.m., and Town Planner Peter Johnston said the design guidelines need to be posted on the town website and noted many zoning-code provisions are not addressed in the guidelines. Johnston also suggested a hearing format: presentations by Barry Waterman and Joe Stevens covering project history and prior actions (including Critical Area Commission review and annexation), showing the project process to date, keeping the hearing open if needed to gather comments and make changes, and then forwarding approval to the Town Commissioners. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. and adjourned at 6:53 p.m.; Commissioners Philip Snyder, Matt Reno, Mike Bowell and Paul Cain participated.
