Planning Commission — 2020-12-09

The Planning Commission met remotely on December 9, 2020. They approved Peter Wierenga’s request (219 Steamboat Ave) to operate an online gun sales business as a Type I Home Occupation, and they approved the November 4, 2020 minutes. Town Manager updates noted the December Commissioners meeting was rescheduled to 12/16/20, the Critical Area Circuit Rider contacted the town about ordinance updates (information forwarded to the Town Planner, who did not identify current conflicts), and the Commissioners adopted an ordinance to purchase about 0.67 acres of Dudley property on Del Rhodes Ave across Rt. 301 for a new water tower. Old business items showed no updates for the Trails Master Plan and Sorenson site plan, Wheatlands is pending formal design guideline submittal and a Master Development Plan public hearing, and boat landing/parking improvements have signs ordered with an upcoming public hearing on a landing/parking/use permit ordinance and a proposed fee resolution ($15 in-town, $50 out-of-town). A planning commission vacancy generated a letter of interest from Suzie Cusimano.
