Planning Commission — 2020-09-02

The Queenstown Planning Commission met remotely on September 2, 2020. Guests sought two approvals: Lonnie and Shirley Anthony requested preliminary approval to combine the adjoining lots at 116 and 120 Dudley Avenue into one parcel so they can place a 26' x 36' pole building and remove an existing 10' x 20' shed; the Commission had no objections and the Anthonys will return with a survey/plat and building plans. The Commission approved Dave Harrison’s shed plans for 7204 Maryland Avenue by a 3–0 vote. There was no public comment. Town Manager updates included adoption of Ordinance 20-03 raising water and sewer connection fees from $10,515 to $13,700; outreach to residents needing lateral repairs with interest-free payment plan options; submission of a Community Parks and Playgrounds grant for the Trails Master Plan boardwalk; an MDE favorable recommendation on the town’s dredging application pending a Public Works vote; a DNR grant application for shoreline debris removal; boat landing and parking area improvements with parking stops received and spaces marked while millings, towing, signage, and ramp scope are being researched; Sorenson’s site work at 112 Charity Lane has begun; and the Waterman planned development petition remains open for county comment. The Commission approved the August 5, 2020 minutes and adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
