The Queenstown Planning Commission met remotely on July 1, 2020. Commissioners reviewed the draft Trails Master Plan and discussed coordinating with Queen Anne’s County and a potential trail across the golf course; they also agreed to pursue a Community Parks and Playground grant (deadline August 2020) to fund a boardwalk at Skipjack Cove, with Amy Moore to take photos and submit the application. The Commission referred and granted concept approval (Resolution 20-104, vote 5-0) to the Wheatlands Planned Development submitted by Waterman Family Limited Partnership, noting features like a turnaround, a 50' platform,10 trail-access parking spaces, 50 boat-parking spots, and substantial open space. For 112 Charity Lane (Sorenson), the Commission found the owner met requirements for a shed, patio and 3-foot front fence but must address the 10% critical area with plantings and stormwater measures; Sorenson will provide photos and invite a site visit. Commissioners displayed a site plan for Skipjack Cove landing and parking improvements, discussed a permit system and ramp/dredging options, approved minutes for March 4 and June 17, and adjourned at 8:35 p.m.
