Planning Commission — 2019-08-07

The Queenstown Planning Commission met Aug. 7, 2019 (called to order at 7:06 p.m.; adjourned 8:40 p.m.). Attendees included commissioners Matt, Phil, Paul, Mike, Town Planner Peter Johnson; Loretta was absent; guest contractor Mr. Hamilton attended. Town manager notes said the town follows ADA standards for new sidewalks, there are no adopted sidewalk guidelines, Resolution 19-101 ad timeline was reviewed by the town attorney, Resolution 19-103 was provided for review, and a community bonfire/movie was scheduled. In old business the Commission discussed the Trails Master Plan (emphasizing inclusion of trails and pedestrian access in project designs) and reviewed an updated Forest Conservation Ordinance reflecting 2019 state legislation; the Commission voted 4-0 to adopt Resolution 19-101 to amend the 2017 Comprehensive Plan to reflect future development of Wheatland farm. In new business Resolution 19-103 (amending floating zones/permissible uses to allow mixed-use including single-family residences and limit the percentage of residential use per site) was introduced and passed 4-0, and the site plan for 235 Old Point Lane — a proposed breezeway connecting the house to a storage garage — was reviewed and approved.
