The Planning Commission met November 7, 2018 with Chair Phil Snyder, Vice Chair Matt Reno, four other members, the Town Planner, and the Secretary. The Commission approved the Sorensen/Hagerstrom subdivision as submitted (motion by Matt Reno, vote 5-0) and approved the October 3, 2018 minutes (motion by Betty White, vote 5-0). Town Manager Amy Moore reported that Betty White’s term had expired but she is willing to serve another term; Moore will inform the Commissioners. Other updates: Mr. Waterman agreed to perform a study of his property regarding proposed residence count; a public hearing to reenact the new zoning ordinance is scheduled for November 28; the Queenstown tree lighting is set for November 30; and dead vegetation around Steamboat Village lots will be addressed by the town attorney with the builder. The Sorensen/Hagerstrom subdivision discussion also noted a recent meeting about a possible water meter move (no action taken) and the need to consider rezoning or a new zoning class to avoid spot zoning.
