The Queenstown Planning Commission met October 3, 2018 (7:03–7:54 p.m.). Present were Chair Philip Snyder, Perry Stutman, Betty White, Secretary Loretta Hohmann and Town Planner Peter Johnston; Vice Chair Man Reno and Town Manager Amy Moore were absent. The commission noted the Town Attorney has not completed the zoning ordinance review, unanimously approved the September 5, 2018 minutes, and held a lengthy discussion of the September 2018 Sage Policy Group study “The Likely Implications of an Improved US 301 in Queen Anne’s County,” covering tolling, telecommuting, flexible work space, potential warehousing/distribution facilities and possible effects on the Wheatlands property; Peter Johnston cautioned about whether warehouse development would generate sufficient and stable revenue to cover future infrastructure replacement. The commission reviewed plans for combining four lots on the Callaghan property on Greenspring Road and reported the town has no comment to the county; there was no public comment.
