Planning Commission — 2018-09-05

The Queenstown Planning Commission met September 5, 2018 (called to order at 7:02 p.m.; adjourned 7:38 p.m.) with Chair Philip Snyder, commissioners Perry Stutman and Betty White, Secretary Loretta Hohmann, and Town Manager Amy Moore present. The commission reviewed a Zoning Certificate Application and plans from George and Robin Rust for renovations/additions to 111 Charity Lane; Town Planner Peter Johnston’s email noted the proposed additions meet R‑1 setback requirements and a future shed must be at least 5 feet from the rear property line and 3 feet from the side, and the commission unanimously accepted the drawings. Town Manager updates reported the Town Commissioners adopted the annexation of the Dudley property, paving of certain roads beginning end of September 2018, and town support for “QAC goes purple” on the opioid epidemic; commissioners expressed concern about the Waterman property’s future use and Phil Snyder suggested Barry Waterman appear at the September Town Commissioners meeting, with Amy Moore to notify the commissioners and contact Mr. Waterman. By unanimous votes the commission recommended the zoning ordinance text amendment (noted as “version 8-1S 201E”) and the draft official zoning map (noted as “version &1%1E”) to the Town Commissioners, and approved the August 1, 2018 minutes; there was no public comment.
