This record is the minutes of the Queenstown Planning Commission meeting on May 2, 2018. The main item was a petition for annexation from Salt House, LLC and the Frank S. Dudley, Jr. Real Estate Trust (Dudley Home Farm and Dudley North); materials and a memorandum from Town Planner Peter Johnston were distributed and the Commission considered whether the annexation is consistent with the Town’s 2017 Comprehensive Plan. The memorandum recommended the parcels are designated “Planned Annexation” on the Land Use Plan and proposed initial zoning equivalent to their county designations (Agricultural for Dudley Home Farm; Suburban Residential and a sliver of Countryside for Dudley North); the petition does not request rezoning and does not propose including waterfront/critical areas. The Commission unanimously approved Peter Johnston’s memorandum; discussion also covered utilities planning (a 5‑year planning period after annexation and property-owner commitments to utilities and public services), Town updates about a truck-idling ordinance and Royal Farms parking/fencing, infrastructure mapping work by Bob Rowe, upcoming open house and town picnic, and deferred zoning/sign-regulation workshops.
