Minutes of the Queenstown Planning Commission meeting on March 7, 2018. The Commission unanimously approved a motion to reduce the required 10-foot barrier/setback to 4.7 feet for the redevelopment at 306 Del Rhodes Ave after receiving a revised site plan and supporting letters from The Queenstown Bank and the Queenstown Volunteer Fire Company; the property owner will work with a landscape architect to meet the Critical Area 10% landscaping requirement and the Commission noted it may require a 2-year planting guarantee as a condition of approval. The Commission reviewed proposed sign ordinance language but took no action. Town Manager Amy Moore reported ongoing investigation of sewer infiltration, reminded new commissioners to complete the Maryland State Planning Commissions course within six months and noted an existing member must complete Open Meetings Act training; comprehensive rezoning text changes will be discussed at a future workshop. The February 7, 2018 minutes were approved and there was no public comment.
